Karen (Shalowitz) Price graduated with honors from Northwestern University in 1974. After completing her pre-training requirements from 1977-1978, she trained at the Rolf Institute of Structural Integration from 1978-1979. She received her advanced certification in 1988.
Karen specializes in working with children and babies in her private practice in Palo Alto, California. She is currently involved in clinical research at Stanford University Medical School. She and her team have received a grant from the Gerber Foundation to study Rolfing for young children with Cerebral Palsy. She has also received a grant from the Ida P. Rolf Research Foundation.
Karen is a member of several professional organizations including the Rolf Institute of Structural Integration www.rolf.org, the Guild for Structural Integration www.rolfguild.org and the International Association of Structural Integrators http://www.theiasi.org Karen practices meditation and yoga and integrates these into her work.
